Oana is a visual artist who’s constantly snooping around for creative and original manifestations in design, and looking to connect with the minds that formed them.

In 3 words describe your pattern design style?
Eclectic, colorful, and textural.
I enjoy combining different themes, styles, and techniques in one pattern.
What is your work & design process?
I create my patterns by mixing traditional paintings and drawings with digital illustrations. I often start with a watercolor painting which I scan and edit digitally, or I start with digital elements to which I later add hand-painted textures. I also enjoy experimenting with traditional textile printing techniques, such as tie-dye, shibori, block-printing, or marbling art.
Where do you find your design inspiration?
I love traveling to discover ethnic and modern art from various cultures. Art museums, galleries, along fashion shows are my favorite inspiration sources.
What advice would you give to new designers?
Keep on creating what you love. Try anything and everything.
