NASA Space Colony Art from the 1970s inspiration

NASA conducted some space colony summer studies in the 1970′s to house about 10,000 people in Space Colonies, these are the artistic renderings of the concepts. With incredible detail the artists attempted to recreate Mother Earth in Space. We love the colour, texture and feeling of these hand painted masterpieces, but as beautiful as they are lets hope we don’t need to resort to these ‘Colonies in the Sky’ any time soon!. Thierry Feuz True Technicolour Beauty inspiration

Thierry Feuz creates his paintings using a mix of acrylic and lacquer, which highlights and intensifies the colours and gives vibrant lift to his semi abstract world. A white, almost clinical serene background is dashed with bursting, fizzing colour making the viewer feel like their gazing into a petri dish. Others are a series of deep blue canvases which appear to be deep sea underworlds or cosmic explosions. Feuz’s Technicolour series show layers of intense lacquered stripes that are packed with life and movement. The diversity of his work is immense but the underlying theme here is, how he sees the natural world and showing it’s beauty in a true way.

Marius Roosendaal Abstract Geometric Graphics graphics

We stumbled upon these great pieces by Marius Roosendaal, a Graphic Designer and Art Director from the Netherlands. The project is titled ‘Make Something Cool Every Day’ and we think he has certainly succeeded as these bold, abstract, geometric pieces really work well. They are futuristic and retro all at the same time with a great use of space and texture. An inspiration to us all to see if we can ’MSCED’. msced.mariusroosendaal.com
