We love this new Spring 2012 graphic tee collection from New York-based brand CXXVI. CXXVI keep with their vintage Navy inspired graphic theme as well as classic Americana looks. The Complexcity project maps the urban sprawls of major cities, Lee Jang Sub has mapped Seoul, Paris, Rome, Moscow and Tokyo to date. Over time the cities have organically grown and formed intricate patterns. We love the way they take on the appearance of of something from nature, yet in fact they are all man made systems. Patternbank spotted these dark and playful illustrations of young Russia artist Yana Moskaluk. These captivating artworks by Moscow based Moskaluk have an intriguing and slightly dark side to them. Incredibly intricate and abstract, these pieces from Luis Toledo who is based in Spain, Madrid are breathtakingly beautiful. Toledo’s work is a complex and surreal trip into another world. Strong, bold graphic work from LA based multi-media designer Justin Harder. Most of his work is for music videos and commercials but his still graphics work, with stylised vector illustrations and vivid colour use is a strong graphic trend for 2013. He also writes Yoems (yes, it’s meant to be a ‘Y’, Justin’s own word) – here’s a short, modest one from 2011:

With tattoo graphics still continuing to trend in the t-shirt market, these colourful artworks grabbed the Patternbank teams attention recently. Spanish Illustrator Ricardo Cavolo’s playful tattoo artworks mix religious art, Russian criminal tattoos, South American flora and nautical themes in a unique style.

Patternbank were at Pick Me Up, UK’s first annual contemporary graphic art fair at Somerset House, London. In it’s third year now the show has grown to be a great place to spot new and upcoming talent with original works and prints available to purchase. Not only that there are various events and workshops to get involved in so altogether a great inspiring day out.

Motorbike visuals and heritage vibes are still continuing to be a relevant graphic trend for A/W 2012. The Patternbank team spotted these beautifully crafted branding graphics by Caleb Owen Everitt. Caleb recently teamed up with Ryan Rodes and are now working together as Land design studio. Caleb’s authentic looking layouts and hand crafted font work that give these branded graphics such strong visual impact. The team already have an impressive list of clients which include Vans, Falcon Motorcycles, Levi, Nike and Stag Austin.
