Enormous Space is Near Cliff Briggie inspiration

Cliff Briggie wants us to see the see the extraordinary in the ordinary, he is inspired by a line from Rilke’s poem – The Way In: Whoever you are, some evening take a step out of your house, which you know so well, enormous space is near… Rilke wants us to see that infinite space is right in the midst of our ordinary, day-to-day life. Briggie’s photographs are a transient moment in time capturing the hidden energies in everyday objects. Check out more of his mesmerising photographs on his Flickr Page.

Ikhon Abstract Reflectionism inspiration

We love the dense colours, textures and shapes of these photographs by Ikhon (Anders S. Solberg), a student at the Norwegian School of Photography. His simple yet very effective use of reflective mirroring gives his photographs a whole new life, transforming abstract textures into intricate butterfly and moth like shapes. Check more of his work on Deviant Art and Tumblr.

Mixed Media Botanical Prints Michael Mew inspiration

Patternbank have been tracking Michael Mew’s work for some time now and thought we’d share to those who have not seen his stunning visuals. We love the energy of Mew’s mixed collage paintings, that layer antique flea market finds with pictorial flower studies. Vintage type collides beautifully with hand drawn botanical florals.  Check out more of Mew’s work on his portfolio site michaelstudio.com
