Patterns Blur in Realtime James Connolly and Kyle Evans inspiration

Cracked Ray Tube is a collaborative realtime project by glitch artists James Connolly and Kyle Evans that breaks and disrupts the interfaces of analog televisions and computer monitors to produce flashing, screeching, wobbulating, self-generated electronic noise and video. The images create beautiful blurring patterns that look like modern Ikats. We love the digital blurred vision effect they have created and can easily see the transition on to fabric! For more inspiring images check out Patternbanks Digital Blur board on Pinterest.

Ethereal Neuromantic Karborn inspiration

Loving these ethereal works by Karborn who is based in London, describing himself on his website – “A prototype young artist of the future-technoid, paradisiacal, neuromantic – an integration of intelligence and an instinctive engagement with visual arts, music, film and machines – informed by his vision of the clarity, beauty and geometry of the real world”. We can’t argue with that – check out more of his beautiful work on his Website.

Digital Matter Holger Lippmann print pattern

We are forever tracking new forms of pattern, and recently saw these stunning computer-generated art statements by German artist Holger Lippmann. His intricate digital patterns still look more hand crafted than electronically mastered. Lippmann, who studied Sculpture at the Art Academy Dresden before continuing his studies in Stuttgart, Paris and New York. Check out more of Holger Lippmann’s experimental digital painting on his new site  and Behance.

Brian Porray (\DARKHOR5E/) Western Project inspiration

(\DARKHOR5E/) is Brian Porray’s first major Los Angeles exhibition for Western Project, a gallery in Los Angeles. Porray paints and collages these immense works influenced by his twenty-plus years on the neon streets of Las Vegas. “This work is sort of like the psychedelic memory of a psychedelic memory. All of these pieces are focused solely on the Luxor hotel in Las Vegas, an enormous black pyramid shaped mega-resort that was built during my first year of high school.” – Brian Porray. Patternbank love his use of clashing neon colour and pattern mixes, which with the sheer size of these paintings must make for great viewing.
