Enchanted Creatures   Anne Siems inspiration

Anne Siem’s paintings are beautifully haunting with their imagery of naive women with ghostly dresses. The love of early American Folk Art, European masters as well as vintage and modern photography inspire her work which has evolved over the years into some enchanting pieces. Siem’s moved from Berlin, Germany to Seattle in 1991 where her early works were on waxed found paper using pen, ink and acrylic paint.
